Growing on base of oak tree. One large cluster. 35cm across. Little smell, perhaps a bit mousey. Mild bland taste but nice crispy texture. Eaten. Sporeprint White. Spores 5.5-7µ x 4-5.5µ.

12th September 2014, Knole Park, Sevenoaks
Growing at base of sweet chestnut stump. Lobes up to 8cm across, whole body 25cm across. Smell fungusy. Spores 6.5-8µ x 5.5-7µ.

1st September 2014, Ladywell Fields
Growing on base of deciduous stump. Multiple lobes with full body 15cm across. Smell faint. Young specimen. Very fibrous but soft flesh. ID is almost sure. Spores 4-5.5µ x 3-4.5µ.
